They keep the groups small to give everyone their utmost attention, which is impressive because everyone has different needs and is at varying fitness levels. After suffering a sports-related injury, Nik was one of the top recommendations when it came to getting myself a personal trainer…to help rehabilitate my knee after ACL reconstructive surgery. Where some trainers mindlessly go through the motions, my workouts were always educational and consisted of detailed motions that were never unsupervised. Fitness-related curiosities were provided with answers that were based on facts and personal experiences. Overall, my experience with Nick has allowed me to start to attain my goals at a pace that was safe for my healing process. I have enjoyed my sessions with Nik at the gym and have not only gained insight into the workings of my muscles and tissue and how to address the ailments I currently have, but I have also benefitted from your encyclopedic knowledge of nutritional and dietary requirements. I started working with Nick at the healthy gym nearly 2 years ago. Not only did he work closely with me creating workouts and seriously correcting my form (I was doing it all wrong for years), but he also closely monitored my weight and muscle mass. Nikolas knew quite a bit about diabetes and asked me as many questions as I asked him. I decided after the first day of tests that I needed to get back on track now and that Nikolas was the one to move me forward. Nikolas is a model for his clients, devoting part of his day to his own health management. He is truly a professional…His information is current and in the past several months, Nikolas has re educated me about my body and my diet; let me emphasize - MY body, not that of the general populace. If I am having difficulty, he suggests a modification to allow that weaker area to still be challenged to affect change. I have recovered balance, improved range of motion, gained strength and muscle mass. A spinoff benefit of strengthening the corresponding muscles is that I have not had to go to the chiropractor to manage a problem with my C6 vertebrae since starting my training. My blood sugar levels have improved and that has lowered the amount of insulin I require…Nikolas has given me hope.

The first thing I noticed while training with Nik was how passionate he was about his work. You could really tell this is something he loved to do. I think that enhanced the experience, because he was just as motivated as I was to complete my goals. He is extremely knowledgable and was able to provide answers and advice on anything I was uncertain about. I was able to learn a tremendous amount of information regarding how to maintain my body, and strengthen the weaker portions of it. For anyone interested in building muscle, losing weight or acquiring knowledge about how to workout safely and effectively, I would recommend Nick. I'm not only consistently sitting at a weight that I feel good at, but my performance and nutrition knowledge have increased tenfold. Nik is meticulous but keeps things simple. He's super attentive, a creative problem-solver, and always puts things in perspective. He's motivating without being condescending and supportive without making excuses for you. I recommend Stoy Fitness for anyone who is either injured or looking to get into shape. I've had an ACL/l and Medial Meniscus tear that needed arthroscopic surgery. Meaning my right leg would have needed to sacrifice muscle in the hamstring, quad, and calf. Playing basketball at a high level of competition, this is never something an athlete would want to face in his/her career. Thanks to Nik I've gained back the muscle that was lost due to surgery while gaining strength and size in the legs. I also droped from body fat, while gaining 13 pounds of muscle. I am feeling stronger, healthier, more agile, and faster on the court than I was prior to the injury. This was a great experience but just the beginning of many things!

After three years of being a stay at home mom I gained nearly 100 pounds! After losing all self confidence in myself and suffering from panic attacks to the point of hospitalization, I decided it was time to get some help. After almost a year now, Nik has changed my life dramatically and I couldn't be happier. I have lost over 30 pounds of fat and went from a 22 pant size to 12. Another bonus is that I am a better parent to my three year old, because I enjoy playing with her now, having a lot more energy to run around. I came to The Healthy Gym primarily to help strengthen my knees, because I loved to run and have been unable to even walk long distances for some time. I was also looking to learn how to weight train, eat and supplement properly, so that I could carry this knowledge back home and continue making good progress. I made very good progress during the 6 weeks of training with Nikolas; I lost 10 lbs, 5% body fat and over 9 inches, including 3 in my waist and 2 on my hips! Unlike with other diets I have tried in the past, I was able to sustain workout intensity and energy levels, learning the importance of eating enough of the right foods to support my goals. Although I only trained with Nik for just a few months I noticed a significant difference in my performance…especially when it comes to Crossfit. I had weak shoulders which were due to instability issues and with Nik's help we fixed that problem. As a result my pull up and dip strength has much improved. I also had trouble squatting, especially with split squats due to having a torn ACL in my left knee. By the end of our training we saw major improvements in that area as well, and my knee feels very strong. Since training with Nik I have hit new personal bests in all of my shoulder presses and my back squat. Nik is very technical and precise and I learned a ton from him. Less than a year ago, my life was saved and the trainer who saved it was Nikolas Stojsavljevich. I was introduced to him by another trainer at Goodlife and when I started working with him I was a sickly 130lbs. In less than a year Nik has truly changed my life forever, not only physically but in every way imaginable.
