Nutrition, and lifestyle practices, are just as important as training, in the quest for better health, performance and body composition. This is why we include nutrition evaluations and/or recommendations with all of our clients who require and/or request them. In addition, while we have the ability to tailor an individual's needs based on their goals, we will always consider any acute or chronic health condition that may be afflicting them. Furthermore, we can adjust eating and/or supplement regimens to compliment recommendations made by their most current health care provider, naturopath, or therapist.
Some of the conditions we have built nutrition programs around, include:
Overweight
Obesity
Diabetes
Cardiovascular Disease
Depression
General inflammatory symptoms
Autoimmune Contitions
Arthritis
General Nerve Pain
Acute muscular strains or more serious tears
We can also monitor each client's success with a number of anthropometric measurements (ie, bodyweight, skin-folds), standard blood work, or more functional laboratory testing, if necessary.
Do you already have a solid workout program in place? Great! We can take care of just the nutritional aspects of your program, if that's all you need. However, if you are an athlete or regular person, primarily looking to improve your performance, strength or body composition, check out this option.
How it works
Depending on your particular situation, we will send out a detailed questionnaire to assess your current state of health, wellness and dietary intake. Among other things, this would look at sleep quality, digestion, disease and disease risk history, injury history, diet history, cravings, food preferences and perceptions, and overall objectives. Then, we would meet in perform to discuss these points more thoroughly. After we are clearly able to understand your starting and goals, we will begin making dietary, lifestyle and (if necessary) supplement recommendations, as well as suggestions for lab work (if applicable). Depending on a clients health, readiness level and goals, we will then set up a program to monitor them on a regular basis (as often as weekly, if necessary), in order to slowly, but consistently, build new habits that will increase the likelihood of success.
If a client is also training with us one-one-one, or in our group strength program, we will have more time to talk about their habits and monitor their recovery and progress in the gym, seeing them more often. Either way, we will make all efforts to hold them accountable to their commitment. Finally, if they are currently working with a primary care physician, alternative care practitioner, or therapist, to address a specific acute of chronic health concern, we will first make sure that our plans are compatible with what these other practitioners are doing, in order to ensure our recommendations work synergistically with any advice, treatment or remedies they are currently receiving.
